09:00 – 12:00 Introduction/Practice Shooting Fundamentals

Ø  Introduce/demo 5 Building Blocks of Good Shot Placement - Stance/Grip/Sight Alignment/Trigger Press/Follow through

Ø  Dry practice of 5 building blocks

Ø  5 yards - Dry trigger re-set drill

Ø  Review Make Ready Procedures – eyes/ears – load/unload procedures/target discrimination process

Ø  5 yards – Live trigger re-set drill

Ø  5 yards – 5 round groups x 2 – review low ready & tactical reload procedures

Ø  5 yards – controlled pairs/watching the front sight dance/re-setting the trigger in recoil – from low ready

12:00 – 13:00 LUNCH

13:00 – 17:00 Self-protection shooting fundamentals

Ø  5 step presentation – dry practice

Ø  3, 5 & 7 yards – live presentations to pair body x5

Ø  Introduce/demo head shots

Ø  3 & 5 yards – single head shots from low ready x5

Ø  3 & 5 yards – single head shots from holster x5

Ø  Introduce/demo emergency reloads – in & out of battery

Ø  5 yard line – dry practice in battery emergency reloads

Ø  5 yard line – live practice in & out of battery emergency reloads 2 + 2 drills x5

Ø  3 yard line – single to the head x2

Ø  5 yard line – pairs body x2 from low ready & x2 from holster

Ø  7 yard line – pairs body x2 from low ready & x2 from holster

09:00 – 12:00 Self-protection shooting fundamentals continued

Ø  3 yards – single head from holster x2/single head from low ready x2

Ø  5 yards – single head from holster x2/single head from low ready x2

Ø  5 yards – pairs body from holster x5/pairs body from low ready x5

Ø  7 yards – pairs body from low ready x5/pairs body from holster x5

Ø  10 yards – 5 round group from low ready x1/5 round group from holster x1

Ø  10 yards – pairs body from low ready x5/pairs body from holster x5

Ø  15 yards – Introduce/demo single knee kneeling

Ø  15 yards – Single knee kneeling from low ready & holster dry practice

Ø  15 yards – Single knee kneeling to 5 round group from low ready & holster – group dependent

12:00 – 13:00 LUNCH

13:00 – 16:00 Self-protection shooting fundamentals continued

Ø  Introduce/demo Failure drill

Ø  3 yards – failure drill from low ready x2/failure drill from holster x2

Ø  5 yards – failure drill from low ready x2/failure drill from holster x2

Ø  Introduce/demo Malfunction drills – Pistol Immediate Action drill and Type 3

Ø  5 yards – Dry & live Pistol Immediate Action drill

Ø  5 yards – Type 3 malfunction drill

Ø  3 yards – Single to the head from low ready x2/pair body from the holster x2/failure drill from the holster x1

Ø  5 yards – Single to the head from low ready x2/pair body from the holster x2/failure drill from the holster x1

Ø  7 yards – pair body from low ready x2/pair body from the holster x2
