Martinsville Sportsman's Conservation Club

This course is designed to develop in the student the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of handgun for the protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen's right to self defense.

This one-day course, taught by NRA certified instructors Bud Lich and/or Manny Taylor, provides the basic knowledge necessary to safely own and operate handguns of various kinds. It covers safe handling and storage of firearms, as well as the inner workings of guns and ammunition. The course combines both classroom and range time. Students will learn various shooting positions and walk away with a full understanding of handguns and firearm safety. Students may bring their own firearm and ammunition, or use those provided. Call or email for arrangements.
