Letter from the Board of Directors
November 15, 2012
To Our Club Members:
There have been some minor changes to the Board of Directors. Due to health reasons Larry Eaton has stepped down as President but remains on the Board. We would appreciate it if everyone could keep Larry in their thoughts and prayers for a complete recovery. Jim Martin stepped up and took over the position of President and Roger Goodnow has taken over as Vice President. If you would see Jim or Roger at the club please thank them for their dedication to the club.
We have begun work to add another rifle range north and west of pistol bays 2 and 3. We hope that by this time next year this will be accomplished. A shelter and picnic tables were added to pistol bay #3. Also Roger Goodnow updated the website and took over as the webmaster for the club. If you had communications with the club it went thru Roger. Thanks for taking on that important position Roger. Other than this we had no other large scale projects this year.
Due to safety concerns there were some changes to the club rules. These were sent out earlier this year and they are included in your membership package. Please take a few moments and read the rules and please comply with them while you are at the club. Please note that is required that your club identification card be displayed whenever you are on club property.
We are enclosing a brief questionnaire regarding why you belong to the club. We are doing this in order to better serve the membership. Please complete this survey before returning your membership form to help us help you.
Last year there were only 41 open memberships when the club was opened to new members. The Board met at the clubhouse on January 1, 2012 at 9:00 and took applications from new members. By the time we left at 11:00 the membership was full. We intend to use the same procedure for 2013. In order to guarantee that you remain a member please be sure to return your membership renewal before December 31, 2012.
Thanks to all of our members for making this the outstanding club that it is. We look forward to seeing everyone on the ranges or at the club this coming year.
