Martinsville Sportsman's Conservation Club

The area beyond the rear two pistol ranges was logged and partially cleared last summer.  As of 3/8/13 earthmoving efforts are underway.  Please watch for heavy equipment in use over the next couple of months.  Completion date will be "when we are done", but notice will be posted here.

We had our highest recorded renewal of existing members from 2012 at 95%, with only 22 new openings available on New Year's Day 2013.  While it was originally planned to "open the gates" at 9 AM, the Board opted to hand out 22 numbers about 8 AM and send home the remaining 150 cars vs. make anyone wait any longer.  We regret how many were turned away, but we maintain a cap of 500 families to minimize crowding and ensure most times our members can get a spot to shoot immediately on entering the facility.

For 2014, procedure to be followed for renewals or new memberships will be announced on this website no later than Dec. 1, 2013.

On July 30th, a new overhead range shelter and two new tables to go in it, were installed on Pistol Range #3 (rear most range).  Range was closed only a few hours that day and is now open for use.  Enjoy!
